What to see around Rivas and San Jorge
The centre of Rivas and the lakeside port at San Jorge are distinct sights in southern Nicaragua. The ferry connections provide views towards Ometepe, but the island itself is a separate destination.
Main places to see
Visit Rivas city and then see the Lake Nicaragua waterfront in San Jorge if your journey allows it. The routes towards the Pacific beaches are another excursion, not part of the ferry terminal.
How to get around
Confirm which part of Rivas or San Jorge you want to reach, and arrange the road transfer between town and port. Check the relevant pier before planning a waterfront visit around a ferry departure.
