Masaya Volcano National Park is an important attraction near Nindirí in the Masaya region. Because it is an active volcanic environment, official access decisions and restrictions are more important than any older visitor guide.

Plan a visit only to viewpoints or areas currently authorised by the park. Masaya can be a base for combining the volcano with Catarina or the town's markets, but those are separate stops with their own schedules.
